How to Explore Sonoma’s Smaller Wineries on a Guided Tour

By platypustours, 1 September, 2026

We love Sonoma for its laid-back character and the smaller, family-owned wineries you might never discover on your own. That’s a big part of what our wine tours in Sonoma are all about. Our Sonoma Valley small-group tour is $139 per person, seven days a week. We’ll pick you up from your lodging, visit three hand-picked wineries with a friendly, knowledgeable guide, serve a tasty picnic lunch at one of the wineries, and provide plenty of bottled water throughout the day.

Groups are typically 8–12 guests, so there’s plenty of opportunity to hear the stories behind the wineries, ask questions, and get to know your fellow guests. Winery selections change daily, and our guides have built relationships throughout wine country over the years. Tasting fees are separate, typically $20–$25 per person, per winery, and are often waived with a wine purchase. We’ll have you back around 5pm.
