The Poddar Group of Institutions harnesses classroom-centric, experiential learning processes. Along with the rest of the Marketing Management faculty, Poddar Business School employs such processes in her classroom. Learning about the Product Life Cycle (PLC) theory is a perfect illustration of learning by doing. Instead of a lecture, Poddar presented her students a video-based case study post the introduction of the PLC theory, on Nestlé Maggi's Indian saga, to show her students the dance of marketing theories with the realities of the business world.
The case study had students analyze the stages of the Product Life Cycle: Introduction, Growth, Maturity, Decline, and Revival. The case study and ensuing discussion captured the successful entry of Maggi into the Indian marketplace, the noodle product's explosive growth and subsequent domination of the instant noodle category, the ban Maggi downstreamed due to a regulatory edict, and Maggi's resurrection through a re-frame and trust-building with the consumers. The students were also able to critique the role of the macro business environment, perception of consumers, government regulations and marketing in the relaying of the product life cycle. Learning by doing, the case study and the rest of the classroom activity, presented theories to students in a format they were able to easily grasp, analyze and understand the realities of a dynamic business world.
As a business school in Jaipur, Poddar believes that experiential learning plays a vital role in management education. Students enrolled in an MBA course in Jaipur benefit from practical case studies like these, helping them bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world business challenges.
At Poddar, students don't learn business theories alone. We help students understand and learn from business activities in the real world. This practical approach has made Poddar a preferred choice among students looking for an mba College in jaipur and a reputed Management college in jaipur that focuses on industry-relevant learning experiences.
